We love blooming seasons.
The seasons where everything seems to work.
The seasons where opportunities arrive.
The seasons where goals are achieved and dreams begin unfolding.
Those seasons are exciting.
They’re visible.
People notice them.
People celebrate them.
But what about the seasons where nothing appears to be happening?
The seasons where growth feels invisible.
The seasons where you’re working hard but seeing little reward.
The seasons where you’re questioning whether your efforts matter.
Those seasons have value too.
In fact, they may be the most important seasons of all.
Nature teaches us this lesson every year.
Seasons for growing roots.
Seasons for resting.
Seasons for blooming.
Life follows a similar pattern.
Not every season is meant to be productive in a visible way.
Some seasons are designed for becoming.
During becoming seasons, life works beneath the surface.
You’re learning lessons.
Developing patience.
Building strength.
Creating foundations.
Preparing for opportunities that haven’t arrived yet.
The challenge is that becoming seasons rarely feel exciting.
They often feel slow.
Quiet.
Uncertain.
We wonder whether we’re making progress at all.
But growth isn’t always visible.
For a long time, nothing can be seen.
Strength is developing.
Preparation is taking place.
Without that unseen growth, blooming would be impossible.
That is how things go for everyone.
Many of the things we wish for require preparation.
Success requires preparation.
Healthy relationships require preparation.
Leadership requires preparation.
Purpose requires preparation.
Sometimes the delay isn’t punishment.
Sometimes it’s preparation.
That’s difficult to remember when we’re impatient.
It’s difficult to remember when we compare ourselves to others.
But comparison steals peace.
Everyone has a different timeline.
Everyone has a different assignment.
Everyone has a different journey.
What is blooming for someone else today may have required years of becoming behind the scenes.
We rarely see that part.
We only see the flowers.
We don’t see the roots.
The roots matter.
Your roots matter.
The lessons you’re learning right now matter.
The strength you’re building right now matters.
The discipline you’re developing right now matters.
Nothing is wasted.
Every experience is contributing to who you’re becoming.
So if life feels slow today, don’t assume you’re stuck.
If progress feels invisible, don’t assume you’re failing.
You may simply be in a becoming season.
A season where growth is happening beneath the surface.
A season where preparation is taking place.
A season where life is quietly building the foundation for something beautiful.
Trust the process.
Trust your growth.
Trust the timing of your journey.
And when your blooming season arrives, you’ll understand why your becoming season was necessary.
The flower receives attention.
But the roots made it possible.
Keep growing.
Your season will come.
With love,
Onna🩷
