Sometimes we become so busy taking care of everyone else that we slowly disappear from our own lives.

We answer the calls.

We solve the problem.

We show up when people need us.

We carry responsibilities, expectations, and worries that nobody else can see.

And somewhere along the way we forget that we need care too.

Not because we are falling apart.

But because we are human.

Your mind needs quiet moments.

Your body needs restoration.

Your heart needs gentleness.

Self-care is not selfish.

It is a maintenance for your soul.

Sometimes caring for yourself looks like giving yourself the same patience and understanding you offer everyone else.

Sometimes caring for yourself looks like closing the laptop, putting down the phone, and simply being present.

Sometimes caring for yourself looks like choosing yourself without feeling guilty about it.

Sometimes caring for yourself looks like sitting by a window with your favorite drink and letting your mind rest.

You do not need permission to care for yourself.

You do not need to justify every moment of peace.

You do not need to explain why you need a break.

The world will continue moving.

The dishes will still be there.

The emails will still be there.

What matters is making sure you are still there too.

A healthier mind makes clearer decisions.

A rested body carries less stress.

A cared-for heart has more love to give.

Today, I hope you give yourself something simple.

A few quiet minutes.

A deep breath.

A moment of graditute.

A little kindness.

You deserve care too.

Not after everything is finished.

Not after everyone else is happy.

Today.

Right now.

Because you matter too!

With love,

Onna
